What is the RMCA and why does it matter?
The Rydal-Meadowbrook Civic Association has represented hundreds of residents since 1948 as one of the oldest incorporated civic associations in Pennsylvania. The neighborhood itself has been a close-knit community since 1923 — over 100 years of community service and neighborly tradition. Our community sits within Abington Township — a community of 58,500 residents across 15.5 square miles in Montgomery County, just 12 miles north of Center City Philadelphia.
We focus on four pillars: creating connections among neighbors, facilitating communication, monitoring township happenings, and improving the neighborhood — from the Meadowbrook Bird Sanctuary to Jackson Park open space preservation and the Valley Road bike lane.
